welcome back mr. quenum! its been roughly two years now since the geneve-based artist, dj and producer released made his upon.you debut with his single rhyme in summer 2013 and were extremely thrilled to see his forthcoming three track 12? trouble causing serious dancefloor trouble again this fall.

viennese analog-wizards buffered multiple (also known for their electro-outlet microthol) deliver the followup to buffer 01 with three outstanding tracks of deep, mysterious and mesmerizing techno. mark 1.12. is the track that works well in the peaktime situation, while the b-side shows their extremely detailed production skillz and knowledge about the minimalistic but floating techno. besides their production skillz, the duo teams up for extended trippy vinyl-dj sets which demonstrate a level of knowledge in techno which is rare to find these days. efdemin is happy to welcome the two producers back on lirum larum.

the now well established contemporary house outlet that is avotre turns to label boss sante for its next ep. featuring two brand new cuts, it comes with three firing remixes from huge names in the form of dj hell, butch and emanuel satie.

raxiera, the first-ever solo ep from eric cloutier, will see release in may in the limited arm of nijmegens wolfskuil records imprint, a vinyl-only three-tracker with two original cuts and a remix from veteran italian producer donato dozzy

three tracks here evoking familiar feelings heard before but still somehow they all sound fresh and drag you in wanting for more. as if this wouldn t do it, there is first but, not last appearance for barba label by mighty jtc who needs no further introduction delivering a remix. this time he cleverly uses sparse but recognizable parts of title track which he then transforms into relentless floor shaker where detroit meets chicago, if any such comparison needs to be made. aquatic stuff !

rubber is new label from the hague with a motley mixture of off-radar electronix for both the experimental clubber and home listener. rubber001 is a bold three-tracker. mannequin records head-honcho alessandro adriani hits the nail on the head with his secret weapons. secondly, reigning from finland, 0.5w (halvtrak and stak etop) pans across the room like running with titanium scissors. the cherry on top is this piece of dutch drum-laden poetry, probably on illegal medication, about a bicycle mechanic from the hague by legends unit moebius, reverend cor gout and salo mentale. all on 180 grams of white vinyl in a white jacket.

andrea martello and giulio spagnuolo are known in their homeland as producers who are passionate about learning the intricate of house and techno sound. their releases are kept, with a minimum of melodic aspects, but sound definitely good and accurate. luminér doesn t deviate from that principles with their three new tracks for artreform. orbita , calendula (the titles refer us to slavic languages) and pressant’ is a meditative dry deep techno which, however, works well on the dancefloors. support from: adriatique, slam, broxgaard, noah pred, 2000 and one, luciano esse, satoshi fumi, alessio mereu, vince watson, simon garcia samuel l session and many more!

500 only, tresor records is fortunate enough to be sitting on a catalogue of past releases that no other label in electronic music would turn down. three of the finest in this collection were albums contributed by surgeon, * basictonalvocabulary*, * balance* and * force + form* all originally came out on the berlin institution between 1997 and 1999. surgeons inimitable combination of detroit techno and post-industrial sounds emanating from his british homeland found its fullest expression in these masterful trio of releases on tresor. the balance remakes 12” accompanied surgeons second tresor album in 1998, with additional versions as well as a remix by long-time birmingham collaborator mick harris.

containing five synthesiser-led pieces, ‘loon’ was recorded in autumn 2014 across five days at nils’s durton studio in berlin, and continues on from the ambient sounds of ‘stare’ but with the addition of more percussive elements and dub influences. for this new ep the duo wired an oberheim 4 voice and a korg ps3100 to the mixing desk and performed live takes on both instruments. with all four hands on its pots, all mixes were recorded straight onto 2-track ½-inch tape. the vinyl ep includes a download code.

amir alexander was one of plan b recordings’ first recruits. from his first submission, we knew his sound was perfect for plan b recordings. “sonic subversion” was released as a digital ep in 2010 and now receives a proper vinyl release. we feel these tracks sound even better now. their content is as timeless as ever. they have been slightly tweaked and re-touched by amir for this release, making them perhaps even more sonically powerful than the originals. three tracks of bubbly, banging goodness from one of our earliest comrades.

after landing his malfunctioning px-4000 on the purple planet, captain dmx steps out of the smoldering cockpit. after barely setting foot on the dusty landscape, the captain is startled by deep thudding from over the hills. dragging his oxygen pack with one hand and his atomizer with the other, he sets off in search of the other-wordly din. over the hill his pupils adjust to the stroboscopic lightning and below him lies a sea of strange creatures moving together as one body. a cosmic sermon takes place under the three suns in the sky, mechanical and stuttered frequencies set a manic pace and drive the dark creatures back and forth. captain dmx sighs a heavy breath and starts to descend into the fray.

following a string of well-received outings for the project on his own black catalogue label, monty luke debuts his mandingo alias on matt edwards rekids with the parallel universe ep. firmly establishing himself as a brightly talented producer, dj and a&r over the past eight years with releases on planet e and mothership in addition to his own detroit-based imprint, the san franciscan s three tracks offer alternate perspectives on his richly honed sound, drawing on influences from his homes old and new as well as further afield, such as the hybrid electronic sounds of london and bristol.

aboutface is firstly a composer/live performer and secondly a dj, hailing from east london he steps up for the next release on amirali’s newly founded imprint dark matters. drawing upon both the sociological and environmental landscape as creative inspiration, aboutface uses his background in fine art and painting to help inform his productions. all the last three years music has been inspired by a thousand mile plus journey through eastern europe and around the coastal regions of the uk, each song using the environmental recordings of a different region or city as the creative starting point.

looking back at the influences from his recent full circle project, alexis le-fan (best know by some as le-tan), winds the clock back even further to his roots of trance. call it proto-goa if you like, these three tracks show a panel of sounds that could ve received airplay in the early 80s on the beaches of anjuna or vagator. standing on the edge is shoegaze gone tribal disco, up and down is new-wave with an ethno-indo twist, whilst love to hate is new-beat led by hypno synths a warped sax and freaky vocals which will ease you in the wee hours of the morning sun

first, let me pay homage to institubes and the codeine generation who discovered red bull in 2003. para one, teki and tacteel were on the front line just like us making the french scene stronger and even more exciting after the first french touch wave. in 2004 for the fourth release on ed banger we were looking for french artists who were killing it, pushing boudaries, those we wish we had signed. three names: para one, feadz jackson. both feadz and para one accepted to remix krazy baldhead’s first ep, this record is very special to me, we pressed 2000 copies.

good ratio music looks deep into the brume and strikes gold with the first ep from carlo on the imprint. forget me not is a record that plays directly into one of the strengths of the artist: melting a coherent whole from ephemeral parts. carlo keeps it rather fiercely on the house grooves, creating a far out sound with his fluent pulse and motif-based melodic improvisations. a unique sound that makes this three tracker remain to him at any spot. on the flip side kresy delivers a solid remix of the main track, forget me not. where he tames the wild things and crowns himself as their king.

the lakker *tundra* album is one of 2015s finest electronic albums and has garnered praise from all quarters. this 12 inch sampler features the mark fell and kyoka remixes cut loud on a side of vinyl each.
